DIGITAL MARKETING EXECUTIVE

JOB SUMMARY

One of our clients in the logistics business with regional presence and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking to recruit a full-time on-site Digital Marketing Executive. The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, including social media marketing, web content writing, web analytics, and communication with clients. The Digital Marketing Executive will also be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness. S/he will have a passion for all things digital marketing, will be tech-savvy, have experience and knowledge of graphic design and be intuitive with great ideas to reinforce business marketing initiatives. The Digital Marketing Executive will be well-versed with concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can be used as a strong asset to securing revenue growth, lead generation and driving engagement through thought leadership online content.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key duties and responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Executive will include;
- Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with existing and potential customers
- Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and IG)
- Work with the marketing manager to launch optimized online adverts through Google Ad-words, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. to increase company brand awareness
- Be actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimization etc.)
- Work with the Marketing Manager to prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels including internal digital channels
- Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website from time to time to optimize for SEO
- Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools
- Acquire insight in online marketing trends and keep strategies up-to-date.
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND DESIRED COMPETENCIES

- At least 5 years work experience supporting in planning, developing, improving and implementing digital marketing strategies preferably within the logistics industry
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or any other related field from a recognized institution of higher learning
- Certification in Google Ads, Digital Marketing will be an added advantage
- Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya an added advantage
- Social media marketing and web content writing skills
- Excellent understanding of and experience in digital marketing concepts and best practices
- Experience with B2B social media campaigns, Google AdWords, email campaigns and SEO/SEM
- Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics etc.)
- Skills and experience in creative content writing
- Critical thinker with strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and create reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
