Program Description

TechnoServe is implementing the USAID funded Alliance for Inclusive and Nutritious Food Processing (AINFP) regional program in collaboration with Partners in Food Solutions (PFS). The program leverages the power of the private sector to create better nutritional outcomes for base-of-the- pyramid consumers and more profitable market opportunities for local farmers. This is achieved bPrimary Functions & Responsibilities:y supporting local food processing companies in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Ethiopia through remote technical assistance and training from world leading food processing companies under PFS to increase the availability of safe, affordable and nutritious food.

Position Summary

The job holder will be responsible for supporting the positioning of the regional program through multimedia and social media platforms. The job holder will be responsible for creating and deploying print, digital and multimedia graphic products that tell the story our work across all 5 countries. The role will support in videography and storytelling in all 5 countries of implementation. He/She will manage creative and digital assets for the management of the overall identity of the program.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Develop social media campaigns, supporting the creation of digital content for deployment across social and other digital media including the website, e-newsletters, and AINFP social media including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter (X), LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
  • Manage and improve the program’s digital channels and ensure they are up to date with current digital requirements. Updates with content and necessary program progress to date.
  • Day to day digital campaign monitoring from a content point of view. Ensure appropriate brand visibility and coordinate prompt responses for all the questions and clarifications from the public.
  • Run online paid Ads on social media and monitor performance
  • Develop/curate written, video and visual content from the AINFP program activities and implementation outcomes.
  • Research, write, and schedule regular content for AINFP’s websites and social media channels. Develop and run a consistent content calendar.
  • Develop video stories and blogs from the AINFP repository of raw content files collected across the 5 countries.
  • Oversee smooth running of AINFP website including content updates and supporting the resolution of any technical challenge by working closely with the website maintenance team.
  • Enforce compliance with the AINFP branding and marking guidelines and ensure their adoption and appropriate use on all communications according to USAID, TechnoServe and PFS branding toolkits.
  • Develop and maintain media database and files. Update AINFP’s image, video and communications document bank.
  • Work collaboratively and guide the program team to enhance media (photo/video) capturing skills and monitor the quality of media shared to ensure it aligns to specific deliverables and according to required standards.
  • Contribute both individually and as a team member in meetings and brainstorming sessions

Basic/Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in communications, journalism or related field with at least 2 years’ experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience creating content for blogs, websites, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
  • Knowledge and experience in website (WordPress) management
  • Practical knowledge in videography and photography.
  • In depth understanding of using diverse social media platforms as communications tools
  • Experience with social analytics and analyzing data to inform content creation for digital channel growth and engagement
  • Experience creating scripts, shooting videos and video editing for story telling
